This project includes the construction of a new bridge at the Rillito River on the new alignment. I- Scope: The Project consists of furnishing
all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for roadway and
drainage improvement described in the project plan. The work consists of constructing and
reconstructing a continuous 2-lane frontage road between the Canoa
Interchange and the Continental Interchange.
The total length of East Frontage Road to be built under this project
is approximately 4.6 miles. · Contractor: Borderland Construction Co. · Bid Amount: $15,000,000.00 · Notice to Proceed: June 23, 2009
· Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2010 Current Status: All lanes are open to the public. On August
3, 2009 contractor will be closing southbound I-19 off ramp for approximately
8 months. Project
Activities: Contractor
is working on retaining walls, removal of structures, clearing work, drainage
pipes, and structures on the North of the project. |
