A very few users have reported problems printing from MapGuide with Internet Explorer 8. Users may receive a pop-up message saying "An error occurred during this operation" or other printing failure with certain applications, including MapGuide.
Unfortunately, our tests with Internet Explorer 8 and several different printers revealed no printing errors so we have not been able to troubleshoot this problem at length. At this point we can only offer the following suggestions.
MSIA is generally not used on home computers, but it could be. If your computer belongs to an organization with a many computers, then MSIA could be on your computer.
At this point, these options are all we can suggest. We don't know if or when Microsoft will address the printing issues with Internet Explorer 8. As we learn more or have other suggestions for solutions or workarounds we will post them on this page.
Because only select Internet Explorer 8 users are experiencing this problem we suspect it might be related to specific printers used in with Internet Explorer 8. If you can send us the printer model and driver version you are using it would help us to learn if the problem is printer specific. Also if updating the driver or using another printer solves the problem for you please notify us.
