Geodetic Control Points

Tips for Viewing the Data

Remember that Autodesk MapGuide tips are here and use the right mouse button in MapGuide if you need help.

You may need to zoom in to see the Geodetic Control Points data layer itself. It is available when zoomed in beyond 1:500,000, but it is turned off by default. When you are zoomed in close enough, the Geodetic Control Points layer is the first layer in the map legend. You will need to check the layer's legend box to see the geodetic control points.

Double Clicking

When you double-click on a geodetic control point, you see a page of control point attributes that includes a link to the point's GPS Static Data Sheet(s). If you have a TIFF image viewer, you can then click on the link to view the those documents. You may need to be careful to double-click on a geodetic control point itself and not another map feature. You may want to zoom in more to make it easier if you have trouble.

Two Browser Windows

Double-clicking on control point brings up another browser window. You will then have one window for the map and one for point information. When you are in the point's information window, the browser's "Back" button does not take you back to the map. After looking at the point's information, you can dismiss the document window.
